Cawapres nomor urut 3, Mahfud MD saat menghadiri acara di Pondok Pesantren Nahdlatut Thullab, Kabupaten Sampang, Jawa Timur, Kamis (11/1/2024).

Teraspojok.com, JAKARTA — Menteri Investasi Bahlil Lahadalia mengaku sudah mendengar kabar burung soal Menko Polhukam Mahfud MD akan mundur dari jabatannya, hari ini, Rabu (31/1/2024). Bahlil kini menanti kepastian cawapres nomor urut 3 itu mundur dari kabinet Presiden Jokowi.

“Saya belum mendengar informasi resmi, tapi dengar informasi-informasi burung iya, tapi validasinya belum saya tahu. Jadi tunggu saja ya, kalau memang itu benar (Mahfud mundur hari ini), baru saya kasih tanggapan,” kata Bahlil kepada wartawan usai menjadi pembicara dalam sebuah acara di Jakarta Selatan, Rabu.

Bahlil menyebut, pengunduran diri Mahfud bukan berarti terjadi perpecahan di kabinet. Menurutnya, pengunduran diri itu murni karena Mahfud ingin fokus berkampanye.

“Mungkin agar lebih fokus melakukan kampanye, supaya total, kalau menteri kan harus cuti, izin, nggak bisa sekaligus seminggu cuti, paling sehari dua hari,” kata Bahlil.

Dia yakin Presiden Jokowi akan menghargai keputusan Mahfud. Di sisi lain, Bahlil juga yakin hengkangnya Mahfud tak akan mempengaruhi soliditas kabinet.

Di kalangan wartawan, kabar rencana pengunduran diri Mahfud sudah beredar sejak Rabu pagi. Mahfud dikabarkan akan resmi mundur dari kabinet pada hari ini pukul 14.00 WIB.
